Fancher Planting, a Great Success

The Fancher School planting was a success!

Fifteen trees were planted on the north and south ends of the playground.

Each tree weighed perhaps 200 pounds and teams/families did a great job of getting the trees into the holes at the proper depth.

Many thanks to the DTE Foundation in collaboration with ReLeaf Michigan for supplying and delivering the trees, as well as teaching the proper planting techniques to the volunteers. And a huge thank you to Mt. Pleasant Public Schools (MPPS) for the equipment, skill in preparing the site and recruiting volunteers.

Because of COVID-19, the teams were already cohabiting 3 or more people – cohabiting meaning that they were already exposed to one another because, e.g., they live together.
